To Captain Maxwell's son(Perry). Your Dad was a tough bird. He was known as Boom Boom Maxwell. He would sit on the open bridge,cigar in mouth no hearing protection and enjoy the 5 inch guns firing.

I was on The Mullany in 1969-70. Came home on leave before a West Pac cruise& when I returned from leave, West Pac was cancelled and we became a Reserve trainer. I was in deck division as a leading seaman. I remember Tom Galluci who has commented earlier

My name is Ed Loyd and I was in the Sonar division. I served on The Mullaney from from 1963 - 1966. we went to viet Nam twice. We had some good times and some bad but all in all, I enjoyed it

I served on the Mullany from Jan. '55 until returning from Far East cruise in 1957. Transferred to the U.S.S. Laws upon arrival in San Diego. Was in the Fwd Engine Room as MM.

Need to correct my listing, I served on the Mullany from 1952 1955 almost lost my leg, was off in the hospital for a year. returned to finish enlistment left in San Diego as BM3 in June 1955 as BM3
